Toyota Avanza Review

Toyota enjoyed a great deal of success following the launch of Toyota Fortuner and Innova. Toyota Kirloskar is now planning to launch Toyota Avanza in 2010 in the innovative international multi-purpose vehicle segment. The car is positioned as a mini Innova and so is quite cheap.

The Toyota Avanza review indicates that the model to be launched in India will have a 1.5L, 4-cylinder DOHC engine and this will be able to deliver power of 109 Ps at 6000 rpm along with peak torque of 141 Nm at 4400 rpm. The car has 5-speed manual transmission. The length of the car is 4120mm and its width is 1635mm while its height is 1695mm.
The car can seat 7 individuals and has McPherson strut suspension for the front with stabiliser while the rear has four link coil spring. The car has front disk as well as rear drum brake system. The turning circle of the car is 4.70 metres and it has power steering. The ground clearance of the car is 180mm and its kerb weight is 1100 kgs. The fuel tank capacity of the car is 45 litres.

The car is expected to deliver mileage of around 15.8 km/litre in the city while the mileage on the highway is expected to be 11.2 km/litre.

The interiors of the car are well appointed and designed beautifully. The dashboard of the car has analog as well as digital instrument panel. This panel is placed in the centre. The car has audio system with four speakers. The interiors have beige along with fabric material and the instrument panel has AC vents, audio system, storage box with AC vents located at side as well as middle of dashboard. The four spoke steering wheel has mounted audio controls and all seat rows have bottle holder and armrest. The rear view mirror can be electronically adjusted.

This car was first released in Thailand and is available in six colors. The shades that will be made available in the country are not known as yet.
