When you’ve been charged with the murder of your young daughter, the world is against you, right or wrong. There’s immense pressure to act as if you’re incapable of cruelty, and you must show the world you are a confident non-murderer.

To achieve an air of fragility, tenderness, and emotionally devastated motherhood at its finest, Casey needs a killer wardrobe day in and day out. Let’s take a look at her track record thus far.
Here she takes a classic approach. The stiffness of the collar tells us that someone, maybe even Casey herself, knows just how much starch will do the trick in the Orlando heat. While a simple look is fine for an arraignment, the real media circus has just begun. Something snappy will catch the eye of sympathetic jurors, reporters and maybe even estranged family members.

The slightly rococco puffery on this green top contrasts nicely with her well-managed brown hair. This particular green shade gives her complexion a yellowish cast. Also, a top like this requires a careful and diligent ironing, which I don’t believe Casey can provide during this hectic time.
However, Casey should avoid her partywear choices, such as the teal strapless top with shorty-short black shorts. The leopard print kitten-toe heels, of course, should stay in her closet until she’s been acquitted.
My first choice is a more delicate iteration of those very shoes. The pattern is less bold, still distinctive, and breathable when a defendant will be sweating the most. Notice that the hem hits modestly at the knee. Pairing this dress with brown suede pumps, like Sergio Rossi’s platform pumps, is a natural combination. Adorable but understated.
Now you might be thinking, ‘She should dress in standard issue prison garb, her extremities shackled and her mouth caged!’ First, calm down! Second, I say do the next best thing: Put her in a brown turtleneck.
This St. John turtleneck is easy to mix with other pieces. Its nylon/spandex composition will fit her shape well, and the less skin Casey shows, the better. A little modesty will go a long way.
To lighten things up, a little white dress can elevate Casey’s look. This Piazza Sempione dress features a demure pin dot pattern and a flattering thin black belt. I love the detail in the bodice.
Casey Anthony is innocent until proven guilty, both in the case of her daughter’s death and in the court of fashion. Okay, most people think she murdered Caylee, but at least she can look sharp!
